Setting up tonight for the Washburn County Fair. We will have a booth at the fair, so come on down and visit with us.   While setting up I had a lady come up to me and ask what she had to do to get a sign. She was an acquaintance who I recognized after she gave her name. I told her all she had to do was ask, as I grabbed a sign for her. She then told me “Don. I’m not a Republican! We support you because we believe in you!” I have had close friends and family members who have told me the same thing, but this really touched me coming from someone I hardly know.   Someone who knows me only for my service to the community.    It also reminds me of the Great Responsibility that I am asking you to entrust to me. I vow not to let her or any of you down. I’m sure I will see her again sometime this weekend, and I’m going to ask her to remind me of that periodically as I serve you in Madison!
